The flats and lagoon system around Isla Blanca offer the angler with year round fly fishing opportunities to catch and release a great variety of species such as Tarpon, Snook, Permit, Bonefish, Seatrout, Amberjack, Ladyfish, Red snaper, etc. Affording the chance of a "Super Grand Slam".

The flats are not as wadeable as the ones in Ascension Bay so most of the fly fishing is from the boat.

North of Cancun but south of Isla Holbox is the Chacmuchuk Lagoon. On the East side of the lagoon is a strip of land called Isla Blanca. Not really an island but it is pretty close. A decent road road connects the area to to Cancun. It is the only destination that will be suitable for day fly fishing trips out of Cancun.

Isla Blanca is just 10 minutes away from Cancun downtown. Isla Blanca is open year-round and offers productive fly fishing at anytime of the year.
