Cozumel Sportfishing

Deep sea sportfishing trips in the waters around Cozumel, Mexico for a variety of open sea species including sailfish, marlin, dorado (Mahi-Mahi), tuna, wahoo, grouper, snapper and other open sea game fish.

The nutrient rich Caribbean waters around Cozumel support a vast array of sport fish with exceptional fishing opportunities all year long. We fish virtually every day and know where these fish are located.

We have experienced captains and crews for our 5 boats, and offer hotel pick-up and drop-off, half and full day charters and fish care of your catch.

We supply all the necessary fishing gear, the lures and the bait. We use Fin-Nor, Penn International and custom Reels and Rods. If you prefer, you can bring your own gear to fish.

Sportfishing in the Cozumel area is primarily done with trolling where we use outriggers and down riggers and have a minimum of 5 lines in the water. Since the drop off for deep fishing is so close to the shore, travel times to begin good trolling are almost non existent. Depending on the season you can expect to catch sail fish, blue and white marlin (these are catch and release only), wahoo, grouper, snapper, dorado (dolphin, mahi-mahi) and barracuda just to name a few.

Since the famed oceanographer Jacques Cousteau filmed his 1961 documentary here, the island of Cozumel has been internationally recognized for its superb diving. The popularity of scuba diving off the island sometimes overshadows its excellent fishing. During the billfish season in March through June, marlin and sailfish can be caught within 550 yards of the shore. In May, Cozumel hosts its annual billfish tournament attended by hundreds of avid anglers. Most fishing excursions depart from the Club Abrigo Nautico de Cozumel located on the northern side of the island near the airport.

Reservations are a must. We will pick up from hotels or piers in Cozumel only. For additional fees we can pick up from Puerto Aventuras and Puerto Morelos - these are mainland ports. We expect people to come aboard and have a great time! We'll help you. Good serious fishing, good serious fun!

All our trips include purified water, soft drinks, Mexican beers, snacks or fruit and light food.
